Clear sky greets capital; minimum recorded at 10.6 deg C

New Delhi, Dec 24 (UNI) A bright sunshine greeted Delhiites today with the minimum temperature recorded at 10.6 degrees Celsius, 3 degrees above normal.

Mercury dipped slightly from yesterday's 12.8 degrees even as the abatement in the chill continued.

Tha maximum temperature, which remained at 23 degrees since yesterday, was normal.

Visibility was normal at 1500 meters.

Weather office forecast a mainly clear sky tomorrow with mist or shallow fog in the morning. The minimum temperature is likely to be around 9 degrees.

The abatement in chill would continue for the next few days as the met office predicted that the temperatures in Delhi and other plains of northwest India are likely to remain near normal.
