4 carbines found buried in TN seashore

Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, Dec 24 (UNI) Four carbine guns were found buried at Pirapanvalasai seashore near Uchipuli here this evening.

Police said the guns, which were rusted, were spotted by the local fishermen.

The carbines were widely used by the LTTE cadres. The guns might have popped up after the sea eroded the shore.

A massive search was on at the seashore for more guns, the police added.
