Pravin Mahajan shifted to Nasik Jail

Nasik, Dec. 23: Pravin Mahajan has been transferred to the Nasik Road Central Jail. Pravin sentenced to life imprisonment by a Mumbai Sessions Court for the murder of his elder brother and BJP leader Pramod in April last year. Prior to his shifting to Nasik, Pravin was lodged in Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail as an undertrial.

He was shifted to Nasik at around 4.30 p.m. on Saturday, Jail Superintendent Ashok Rane told reporters here. "We have got justice after 20 months,'' is what BJP national general secretary Gopinath Munde said while reacting to the award of life imprisonment on Pravin Mahajan, for killing his elder brother and senior BJP leader Pramod Mahajan.
