Bhubaneswar, Dec 23 (UNI) Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was today unanimously re-elected the President of the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD).
BJD state election officer Basudev Patra announced this after the party's state executive committee meeting.
Mr Patnaik has been holding the office ever since the party was formed.
The party also authorised Mr Patnaik to constitute various party committees.
Mr Patnaik thanked the members for reposing the faith on him again and nominated five vice-presidents, one secretary general, one treasurer, ten general secretaries and seven secretaries to runthe party affairs.
Mr Patro also announced the names of eighty party state executive members and 31 district presidents.
While Anang Udaya Singh Deo, Prafulla Chandra Ghadhei, Kalindi Behera, Prasanna Acharya, Prasanna Kumar Patsani were nominated as vice presidents, Dr Damodar Rout was nominated as the secretary general. Jogendra Behera will act as the treasurer.
Suryanarayan Patro, Debasis Nayak,Rghunath Mohanty, Sarat Paikray, Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Jagneswar, Debasis Samantray, Narendra Kumar Swain, N Bhaskar Rao, Rabi Narayan Pani will discharge duties as general secretaries.
The post of secretaries will be held by Ajit Hembram, Anjali Kanungo, Priyadarshi Mishra, Ramesh Chandra Majhi, Sanjay Kumar Das Burma, Sarda Prasad Nayak and Saroj Samal.
