IGNOU's new programme on DD to update farmers on latest technology
New Delhi, Dec 23 (UNI) Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has introduced an agricultural programme on Doordarshan to offer its expertise and infrastructure for dissemination of latest technology among farmers across the country.
University Vice-Chancellor Rajasekharan Pillai urged the farmers to gain effective knowledge from the value-added agricultural courses being offered by the School of Agriculture, IGNOU.
The 30-minute weekly agricultural programme is telecast on the national channel on Sundays from 0600 hrs.
Various missions and schemes have been launched by the Government focussing on various national issues like enhancing productivity of paddy, wheat and pulses, Mr Pillai added.
