Gujarat poll verdict would not affect Karnataka: SP

Shimoga, Dec 23 (UNI) Samajwadi Party Karnataka-Unit President and MP S Bangarappa today said the Gujarat assembly election results would not affect Karnataka politics.

Talking to newspersons here, he said said people in Karnataka would not allow the State to follow the footsteps of Gujarat.

Bharatiya Janata Party's desire to repeat the success of Gujarat in the forthcoming Karnataka poll, would only remain as a dream, he added.

Mr Bangarappa said some political parties in the State, were making an attempt to form a 'Third Front', but they would not succeed.

The party, however, looking for a viable alternative, was in touch with some national parties, except the BJP and the Congress, he added.
