Gujarat poll results befitting reply to Congress: Munda

Bokaro Dec 23 (UNI) Overwhelmed by BJP's victory in Gujarat Assembly elections, former Jharkhand chief minister Arjun Munda today said the results were a 'befitting' reply to the minority appeasement Congress party.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Munda said Congress always used minorities to win their vote bank and worked to appease this selected class.

''The results contain a clear message that those appeasement policy of congress will not work any more'' Mr Munda said.

Referring to Jharkhand, Mr Munda said that the Congress party was misusing the rich mineral resources of the state instead of utilising them.

Accusing the Congress of being dual-faced, he said the party has also played with the sentiments of tribals of Assam over providing them ST status.
