Five injured in clash between BJP and Cong workers in MP town

Ujjain, MP, Dec 23 (UNI) Five people were injured following clashes between supporters of the BJP and the Congress while BJP workers were taking out motorcade rally as a part of celebration for victory of their party in Gujarat assembly polls.

Police have deployed additional forced to control the situation.

The situation was full under control.

Shops were closed down after clashes but were reopened following police intervention. The injured included workers from both the parties. Their condition was stated to be out of danger.

Police have registered cases against about 12 people from both the parties.

During the rally, BJP workers allegedly tore some posters pasted by the Congress. This was objected to by Congress supporters leading to a clash.
