Drug peddlers arrested, charas recovered
New Delhi, Dec 23 (UNI) Police have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered charas from their possession.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Narcotics Branch personnel nabbed the two people at Ring Road near I P Estate Metro Station yesterday, where they were waiting to deliver charas.
According to DCP Narcotics, accused Dev Raj Bhardwaj and Jeevan Lal Negi, both belonging to Kullu in Himachal Pradesh, were arrested and 500 gm of charas was recovered from each of them.
Meanwhile, with the arrest of a vehicle thief in the Shakti Nagar area, The Delhi police have solved four cases of auto lifting. Two stolen motorcycles were recovered from his possession. The arrested, aged 17 years, later confessed to his crime.
