Development and nationalism led BJP to victory in Guj: BJP
New Delhi, Dec 23 (UNI) Hailing its victory for the fourth successive term in Gujarat, the BJP today said it was a victory for ''development and nationalism,'' an agenda of the party in the just concluded state assembly elections.
BJP spokesman Rajiv Pratap Rudy in his initial reaction said the people of the state had given an answer to Congress president Sonia Gandhi who had sought to communalise the agenda by her vicious campaign against Chief Minister Narendra Modi and the people of Gujarat.
''The people of the country are watching the situation and they will give a fitting reply in the next parliamentary election making the BJP an alternative to the UPA,'' he said.
