Cong won more seats this time in Gujarat: Karunanidhi

Cuddalore, Dec 23 (UNI) Evading a reply on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi leading the BJP to victory in the Assembly polls in the State, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M Karunanidhi today said the Congress also fared well in the polls as compared to the last time.

Mr Karunanidhi, who toured the flood-affected areas for the second day today, said the Congress had won more seats this time as compared to the last polls.

''You see how many seats the Congress had won last time and how many this year,'' was his cryptic remark, when reporters asked for his reaction to the BJP's victory in the Gujarat polls.
