AP to power 5.13 lakh agriculture pump sets
Tirupati, Dec 23 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information and Public Relations Shabbir Ali today said the government would provide power to nearly 5.13 lakh agriculture pump sets in the state.
Talking to newspersons here, he said all necessary steps were taken to meet the power demand during the Rabi season.
He said Chief Minister Y S Rajashekara had already instructed the officials to purchase power from the NTPC.
Earlier, the Minister laid the foundation stone for an electrification project under Rajeev Gandhi Vidhyut Yojana (RGGVY) at Taraka Rama Nagar Colony near here.
