Senior social worker killed in road accident

Dharamshala, Dec 22 (UNI) A senior citizen today succumbed to his injuries after being hit by a speeding motorbike last night near Polytechnic College gate on Dharamshala road.

Senior citizen M.R. Mahajan, who is a social worker, was on way to his home from the bus stand on foot when he was hit by the motorcyclist.

He was immediately rushed to Dr. R. P. Government Medical College Hospital at Tanda from where his condition was described as ''critical'' by the doctors who referred him to PGI, Chandigarh after giving his initial treatment.

However, Mahajan succumbed to his injuries near Una while on way to Chandigarh.
