NTPC concludes a $ 380 mn loan facility

New Delhi, Dec 22: Country's largest power generation company NTPC has concluded a 380 million dollar loan facility under the Japan Bank for International Co-operation(JBIC) guarantee to part finance its Barh Super Thermal Power Project in Bihar state.

This is the first facility extended by the JBIC to NTPC without sovereign guarantee, a company statement said.

JBIC has previously provided financing for Gandhar, Simhadri, Faridabad and North Karanpura power projects through its Overseas Development Assistance programme.
