Many parts in Orissa shiver in cold

Bhubaneswar,Dec 22 (UNI) People in Orissa shivered due to extreme cold at many places as the minimum temperature in certain parts of south, north and western Orissa dipped far below the normal.

Local Met office sources here said Phulbani recorded 7.6 degrees Celsius, the lowest temperature in the state during the day followed by Sundergarh 9.4 and Baripada 9.5 degrees Celsius against the normal temperature of 15 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature in capital city Bhubaneswar was recorded at 14.2 degrees Celsius,around one degree below normal.

The weather office has predicted dry weather for the next 24 hours.
