Kumaraswamy recovering

Bangalore, Dec 22 (UNI) The condition of former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, convalescing after an open heart surgery at a private hospital here, is improving.

A release from the hospital said Mr Kumaraswamy was likely to be shifted out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) today.

''This morning we removed all the drains, generally put to remove any post operative bleeding. The implanted valve is functioning very well. His BP is normal'' said Wockhardt Hospitals Chief Cardiovascular Surgeon Vivek Jawali.

Mr Kumarswamy, who was on a soft diet, also underwent a physiotherapy session.
