India, Mauritius have one soul: Anerood Jugnauth
Pratapgarh, Dec 22 (UNI) Mauritian President Anerood Jugnauth today noted that India and his country are two bodies with one soul.
''Indian soil is great...it gave birth to Maryada Purushottam Ram and Lord Krishna,'' Mr Jugnauth observed at a religious ceremony here.
''I feel God has been kind that I owe my roots to such a great country,'' he underlined.
Mr Jugnauth said there were lots of similarities between India and Mauritius. The two nations are very close in terms of relation, culture, language and religion. Indians comprise 70 per cent of the Mauritian population.
