Court permits Sukhbir to visit abroad

Rupnagar, Dec 22 (UNI) A local court today granted permission to Akali Dal working president Sukhbir Singh Badal, who is co-accused in the disproportionate assets case against Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and others, to visit Italy from January 6 to 12.

Sukhbir Badal had filed the application seeking permission to visit Italy to motivate the Punjabis residing there for investment in Punjab. The court had issued notice to the state for replying today on the application.

While allowing the application Special Judge G S Saran directed Sukhbir Singh Badal to furnish a personal bond in the sum of Rs five lakh and a surety in the same amount.
