Capt Kanwaljit stresses need for moral, religious education

Chandigarh, Dec 22 (UNI) Punjab Cooperation Minister Capt Kanwaljit Singh today stressed on the need to impart moral and religious education amongst the students for preparing them for the challenges of life.

While speaking on the occasion of annual day function of a public school here, he said "Due to lack of moral and religious education for teenage children, various discrepancies have been arising in their behavior thereby creating a panic in the society." "Keeping in view the forthcoming challenges for the students, it become imperative to lay more stress on the character building of our coming generations so that they not only develop academic intelligence but also be well verse in our traditions," Capt Kanwaljit added.
