BJP Mahila Maha-Sammelan gets huge response

Port Blair, Dec 22 (UNI) The BJP Mahila Maha Sammelan organised got a huge response, as more than 10,000 women from across the Andaman and Nicobar Chain participated here today.

BJP Mahila Morcha National President Kiran Maheshwari chaired the programme and took on UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi on the issues of inflation, Ram Sethu and women reservation bill.

''We want every women in the sammelan to return to their respective villages with some knowledge so that they can serve their place and party in a better way,'' Andaman party unit's president Vishal told UNI.

She also claimed that the UPA-led Congress government have failed miserably in every directions and hence would definitely lose in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh elections.

The Mahila Morcha would pass a resolution for local women today but would be made public tomorrow.
