Agitation against one-day CET turns violent

Mysore, Dec 22 (UNI) The agitation against the Karnataka Government's decision to hold Common Entrance Tests (CET) for admission in professional course on a single day next year turned violent, as agitators pelted stones on a KSRTC bus in the city.

Police said the protesters led by National Students Union of India, the Students-wing of Congress, staging a demonstration in the city along with some Congress leaders, pelted stones and damaging the windscreen of the bus.

One person had been detained in this connection, police added.
