Deccan,
will
merge
with
liquor
baron
Vijay
Mallya's
up
market
Kingfisher
Airlines
to
create
a
mega
airline.
Deccan
Aviation
Ltd
will
merge
its
scheduled
airline
operations
into
the
unlisted
Kingfisher
Airlines,
to
create
one
of
the
biggest
air
carriers
in
India
and
pave
the
way
for
the
latter
to
fly
overseas.
The merged airline which is to come up by 2008 will be called Kingfisher Airlines. The name Kingfisher is the flagship beer brand of Mallya's UB Group.
