Severe chill abates, minimum rises two notches

New Delhi, Dec 21 (UNI) A slight rise in the temperature today offered some respite from the biting cold prevailing in Delhi for the past few days as the minimum climbed to 7.2 degrees Celsius from yesterday's 5 degrees.

The mercury soared to 7.2 degrees, one degree below normal, following western disturbances over Jammu and Kashmir.

The maximum was also marginally high recording 25.3 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal.

The Weatherman predicted mainly clear sky for tomorrow. The minimum is likely to remain at around 9 degrees Celsius.
