Minister inaugurates Coffee Processing Plant in AP

Visakhapatnam, Dec 21 (UNI) The Union Minister of State for Commerce Jairam Ramesh today inaugurated the modern Coffee Processing Plant in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the Coffee Board was trying to increase production of coffee and black pepper in the district.

Mr Jairam said Araku Emerald Coffee, cultivated by the tribal farmers was awarded certification by the International and Fair Trade.

The Coffee project was being implemented by the National and International Coffee Quality Control and bio-dynamic and organic expert in collaboration with Naandi Foundation in the region, he added.
