Hexaware takes S K Mitra on board

Hyderabad, Dec 21 (UNI) Hexaware Technologies, a leading global provider of IT and BPO services, today announced the appointment of S K Mitra as an independent director and a new member to the Board of Hexaware.

In a statement, Hexaware Technologies Founder and Chairman Atul Nishar said, ''With his extensive experience in setting up and running financial services ventures, Mr Mitra brings to the company excellent financial proficiency.

''His experience will be a great asset to the company and add to the quality of corporate governance at Hexaware.'' Mr Mitra was instrumental in setting up the Merchant Banking Divisions of two banks - Bank of India and Standard Chartered Bank.

He has also headed Corporate Banking and Investment Banking at American Express Bank.

At a stage when asset management was in the early stage of development in the country, he set up the GIC Mutual Fund in India.

He has also been active in several important Committees and Chambers in India.
