Digvijay demands CBI probe into dumpers' issue

Indore, Dec 21 (UNI) Reiterating the demand for a CBI probe into the much-debated dumpers' purchase issue, Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh today expressed apprehensions that central BJP leaders had also their dumpers hired out.

Talking to the mediapersons here, Mr Singh said 60 dumpers were engaged with the J P Cement. Following information of four dumpers with the company, an information of eight more dumpers with the company has come up.

He said loan for these dumpers had been taken from the same place in Andhra Pradesh. He demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter as it involved several states.

Alleging that investigation by the Lokayukt was dull, he said a probe by police officials under the state government could not be expected to be proper.

Mr Singh said a probe was being ordered against his ten-year-rule in the state after the dumpers' issue was raised. However, he was ready for any kind of challenge.

Referring about the Global Investors Summit held in Indore recently, he said Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was taking credit of Centre-approved power project, which would be set up by industrialist Anil Ambani.

Likewise, investment-related MoUs of Rs 50,0000 crore pertain to the real estate.

He said the summit was turning out to be a conspiracy to convert green regions for commercial use. It was not clear which land would be used.

Mr Singh said that Indore's master plan was ready. Suggestions and objections had been received so what was delaying the matter.

He said purchase of electricity by the state government was another issue to be investigated. The government was purchasing electricity at Rs 7-8 per unit. Power crisis was very serious and villages were not getting it.
