CRPF jawan shot dead two fellow jawans,kill himself

Bhubaneswar, Dec 21 (UNI) A CRPF Jawan today shot dead two fellow jawans and before killing himself at the Jharpokharia anti-naxal camp in the tribal dominated Mayurbhanj district.

Police said Jawan Bharmendra Kumar opened fire from his gun at his two fellow jawans -- Jaswinder Singh and Samsher Singh -- killing them on the spot inside the CRPF camp.

Later he shot himself from the same weapon.

Mayurbhanj District Magistrate S K Bashistha and Superintendnet of Police Dayal Gangwar have rushed to the site. Senior police officials rushed to the site on hearing the gun shot and caodoned off the area. It was not immediately known as to what provoked Bharmendra to go besserk.

CRPF Commandant is likely to come to the camp tomorrow to conduct an inquiry into the incident.

Police said the bodies were taken to Baripada for post-mortem.
