Bomb attack on CM's relatives

Imphal, Dec 21 (UNI) Armed assailants lobbed a bomb at the residence of a relative of the Chief Minister at Thoubal Ningombam in Imphal today.

Mr Ningombam Gojen (47) is the brother-in-law of Chief Minister O.

Ibobi Singh. However, he was not injured.

In another incident some persons fired at the legs of an Executive Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control department (IFCD), Div I, Soubam Dhanbir at Thangmeibang Sinam Leikai, Imphal.

Police said the motive was not known.

The engineer was admitted at the Shija hospital here.

In another incident some unknown persons threw a bomb at the residence of Minor irrigation Department Executive Engineer L.

Gourkishore at Singjamei Chinga Makha in Imphal East.

The bomb, however, did not explode. It was removed and later defused at Salungpham, Thoubal by bomb experts.
