50 kg explosives seized, 2 arrested in UP

Lucknow, Dec 21 (UNI) Police today seized 50 kg explosives and arrested two people in Shankargarh area of Allahabad district.

The cops intercepted two motorcyclists coming from Madhya Pradesh.

While checking, 50 kg ammonium nitrate and 240-foot fuse wire were recovered from their possession.

The material was meant to carry out explosion in the stone quarries. However, they were not carrying license for it, police said.

The duo had been sent to jail.
