Year 2008 may witness a sharp fall in mobile bills

New Delhi, 20 Dec, 2007 : The New Year could well see your mobile bill coming down. According to officials the telecom ministry, will soon be initiating a review of phone tariffs, which will lower the cost of text messages and local calls.

This addition might also see a steep fall in roaming charges. Sources said Raja has asked his department to approach the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on the issue of slashing telecom tariffs.
