Silver closes higher, Gold eases

Mumbai, Dec 20: Both the precious metals today observed a mixed trend as Silver was up by Rs 35 per kg on strong advice from global markets, but Gold eased by Rs 20 per ten gm due to thin ornament makers demand. traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.

Following are the closing rates of spot Silver and Gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 18,790 (18,755) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 10,260 (10,280) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 10,310 (10,330).
