Chennai, Dec 20 (UNI) The pilot of a Deccan flight today refused to take in 11 passengers, originally booked on the flight.

The Chennai-Kolkata flight took off at 1630 hrs as scheduled with 75 passengers on board. However it had to return due to a technical snag in the aircraft.

The stranded passengers, who missed the flight earlier, requested the Deccan officials to accommodate them on the flight as they were originally booked on it.

But the pilot refused to oblige them, citing security reasons and stating that the flight had returned only to set right the snag.

The Deccan authorities booked them in an alternate flight tommorrow and provided accommodation in a hotel near the airport.
