Meanwhile, a motion to debate the detention of the five Hindraf leaders under ISA has been rejected by the Dewan Rakyat.
The motion was tabled by Karpal Singh DAP - Bukit Gelugor, the star Online reported. The five detained Hindraf leaders are P. Uthayakumar, M. Manoharan, R. Kenghadharan, V. Ganabatirau and T. Vasanthakumar.
Speaker Tan Sri Ramli Ngah Talib rejected the motion, saying that it was not of an urgent nature as the five were being detained under an existing law and the police were merely doing their job.
