Bitta recieved death threat, lodges FIR

New Delhi, Dec 19 (UNI) Chairman of the All India anti-terrorist front M S Bitta today lodged an FIR at the Parliament street police station after he recieved a threat on telephone this morning that he would be killed if he persisted with his agitation to execute the death penalty awarded to the mastermind of the 2001 Parliament attack Afzal Guru.

The caller, a person claiming to be a well wisher of Afzal,warned Mr Bitta that he would be blown up if he did not stop his agitation to execute the death sentence awarded to Afzal, sources in Mr Bitta's office said.

''The caller, who talked to Mr Bitta in abusive language, warned him that he would be blown up if he carried on with the agitation,''the sources said.

Following the threatening call, Mr Bitta lodged an FIR in the Parliament Street police station furnishing to the police the number from where he recieved the call, they said.

Mr Bitta has been in the forefront of an agitation to execute the death sentence awarded to Afzal Guru, the alleged mastermind behind the 2001 Parliament attack.

Infact, he has been vehemently supporting the demand by the family members of security personnel slain in the attack on Parliament to execute the death penalty given to Afzal.
