EC bars Sharif from contesting

Islamabad, Dec 18th 2007 : Pakistan's Election Commission on December 17th ,dismissed an appeal filed by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his brother Shahbaz to challenge the rejection of their nomination papers for the upcoming elections in January 2008.
