Two Indian brothers get life for murder

Dubai, Dec 18 (UNI) Two Indian brothers who murdered a man and buried his body in a hole have been given life sentences by a Dubai court.

The two Indian men, aged 42 and 28, were given life imprisonment, which amounts to 25 years in jail. They were convicted of the premeditated murder of their compatriot, who was beaten with an iron bar and suffocated with a wet towel. The brothers were also found guilty of stealing the victim's mobile phone.

The brothers will be deported after serving their sentence, which is subject to appeal. Neither the accused nor the victim was identified in the report carried by the Gulf News.
