Rupee opens weaker at 39.58/59 per USD

Mumbai, Dec 18: The Rupee losses strength by four paise against US Dollar, resumed at 39.58/59 per dollar from its previous close of 39.54/55 per dollar amid volatile trading session in the market today.

The Indian unit fell to a two-week low today as most of the other Asian currencies went down against US currency on rising concern over inflation and Federal Reserve's move in US, dealers said. The partially convertible Indian Rupee has fallen one per cent since hitting a near-decade high of 39.16 last month, dealers added.
