2 women commit suicide

Lucknow, Dec 18 (UNI) At least two women, including a teenaged girl, committed suicide in the Uttar Pradesh capital in the last 24 hrs.

Police said Soni (19) of Talkatora area hanged herself at her house today.

In another incident, Neetu (28) hanged herself from the ceiling of her house late last night in Aliganj area.

The reason behind the women taking the extreme step was yet to be ascertained.

Bodies had been sent for a post-mortem.

Investigations were on.
