Visa Application Centre for Italy opened in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, Dec 17 (UNI) Punjab chief secretary R I Singh today inaugurated the Visa Application Centre of Italian Embassy at sector 9, Chandigarh.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief secretary appreciated the efforts of Italian Embassy to facilitate the people of Punjab to submit their visa applications here itself rather going a long way to Delhi or Jalandhar especially for this purpose.

Mr Singh emphasised the need for stronger ties with Italy. He stressed upon the need of identifying thrust areas of cooperation and to open more channels of communication between Italy and Punjab.
