Imbalance in devp; PM expresses concern

New Delhi, 15 Dec, 2007 : Expressing concern over the persistent imbalances in development, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on December 15th said that the rising subsidy bill does not achieve the objective of reducing inequities.

Speaking at the Golden Jubilee of the Institute of Economic Growth in New Delhi, the Prime Minister called for more rational solutions to deal with the problems of regional imbalance and inequities in growth.
