Two actresses held for immoral trafficking

Kochi, Dec 17 (UNI) Six people, including two film actresses, were today arrested on charges of immoral trafficking, following raids by a special police team at Kakkanad near here.

Police said Reshma (23) and Simran (21) both small-time actors and hailing from Karnataka, were arrested alongwith Remya (19) and Beena (35) both from Kollam, Jomon (27), Wayanad and Jeo Philip hailing from Angamali in this district.

Following a tip-off, police conducted raids this evening at a rented house and arrested the accused and seized a car, five mobile phones and Rs 25,000 in cash.

Police were on the look out for three more persons involved in it.

They were arrested under Sections three, four and seven of the Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act, 1956.
