Precious metals down on bearish global advice

Mumbai, Dec 17: Both the precious metals eased today with Silver down by Rs 95 per kg and Gold by Rs 30 per ten gm owing to absence of demand from retailers, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.

Following are the closing rates of spot Silver and Gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 18,530 (18,625) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 10,110 (10,140) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 10,160 (10,190).
