HC takes serious exception to doctors strike

Hyderabad, Dec 17(UNI) The Andhra Pradesh High Court today took serious exception to the continued reluctance of the Junior Doctors to join their duties.

A Division Bench, comprising Acting Chief Justice Bilal Nazki and Justice Ramesh Ranganathan directed the Government to explore other avenues, such as, engaging the retired persons and private doctors to extend medicare, where the junior doctors boycotted duties.

Based on a Public Interest Litigation(PIL), questioning the doctors strike, the Bench asked the junior doctors to explain the court on why they were not calling off the strike.
