Hoshiarpur, Dec 14 (UNI) Head Munshi of Sadar police station, Hoshiarpur, Jagjit Singh was today injured in an alleged clash with CIA Staff Inspector Daljit Singh Khakh in the police station premises here this afternoon.
The Munshi, with his head bleeding, was rushed to local Civil Hospital, where he was under treatment.
SSP Anita Punj said that she had deputed DSP (H) to make on the spot inquiry into the charges levelled by the Head Munshi that Daljit Singh Khakh caught him from his neck and hit his head on the window panes due to which he was seriously wounded.
Action would be taken after receiving the inquiry report, she said.
Sub-Inspector Sushil Kumar, who was officer on duty at that time, alleged that Daljit Singh Khakh also misbehaved with him.
Later, in the Civil Hospital some relatives of the Head Munshi Jagjit Singh and some BSP leaders allegedly manhandled Medical Officer on Duty in the emergency ward.
The SMO of the Civil Hospital Dr Gurdev Singh said that the complaint in this regard was being sent to the SSP.
Refuting the charges of Jagjit Singh, Daljit Singh Khakh said that he had already reported the matter to the SSP and did not want to give any statement to the press.
