Fire in MCL mines;One injured

Sambalpur, Dec 14 (UNI) A driver was critically injured as sudden fire broke out in the Lakhanpur opencast mines no-1 under Mahanadi Coalfield Ltd (MCL).

MCL Public Relation Officer D Mehra said during the fire fighting, a panicked driver jumped out of the dozer and fell in hot ash.

Injured dozer driver Arjun Behera sustained 70 per cent burn injuries and was rushed to IGH Rourkela for treatment.
