Engineering college student commits suicide

Chennai, Dec 14 (UNI) A second year private engineering college student, hailing from Tiruchirapalli, committed suicide by hanging at his room at suburban Tambaram, last night.

Police sources said the student, Bharathi (22), studying EEE course, was found hanging from the ceiling fan at his room by his roommates.

The reason for the student taking the extreme step was not known.

His parents were informed about the incident and they were on their way to the city.
