Deccan to launch daily flights in NE region

Bangalore, Dec 14: Low cost carrier Deccan today announced the launch of new daily flights connecting Guwahati to Silchar and Aizawl from December 20 through an ATR aircraft.

Officiating CEO of the Airliner Ramki Sundaram in a release here said Deccan ' s new flights connecting Aizawl, Silchar and Guwahati will provide the convenient option of air travel at affordable fares to business people, professionals, students, housewives and senior citizens alike. He said air connectivity in the region was a key to harness the potential of cities in the Northeast and facilitating the growth of industry and commerce.

With the prominent travel mode being buses and trains which makes for long and arduous journeys, Deccan 's flights offer highly convenient air connectivity at affordable fares. Deccan already connects Guwahati, Baghdogra, Aizawl, Dimapur, Silchar and Imphal in the Northeast.
