DD, M Azad Urdu University sign MoU for informative programmes

New Delhi, Dec 14 (UNI) Doordarshan entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) for telecast of informative and educational programmes.

Under the MoU, DD's Urdu Channel will provide a half-an hour slot in daily frequency to MANUU for the programmes which are planned and produced by the universiy at its Media Research Institute.

The MOU remains valid for five years with a provision that duration of the slot will enhance by 30 minutes with the passage of each year upto 2012.

The agreement was signed by MANUU Vice Chancellor A M Pathan and DD Director General L D Mandloi here yesterday.

The Urdu channel of DD started functioning last year.
