Ranchi, Dec 14 (UNI) Keeping in view the party's two-month ultimatum to the UPA-backed Madhu Koda government to expedite the developmental projects, the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) today directed the in-charges of Assembly segments to review the functioning of the state government at the block level.

JPCC chief Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu told newsmen that the party's block units had already launched an agitation, which would continue till December 25.

A memorandum would also be submitted to the concerned Block Development Officers, he stated.

The agitation was mooted to exert pressure on Mr Koda so that implementation took place faster.

'' After the block level, the party would launch similar agitation at the district level from December 25 to January 10, '' party spokesperson Alok Kumar Dubey said.

A detailed report would be prepared on the basis of inputs, received by block, district and state, to be submitted before party in-charge Ajay Maken.

On December three, the party had decided to launch phasewise agitation at block level, district level and then state level to review the functioning of the Koda-government.

Dissatisfied with the ''tardy'' pace of develpment in the state, the JPCC, led by party in-charge Ajay Maken, had handed over a 19-point memorandum to Mr Koda with an ultimatum that if the developmental works in the state were not expedited within two months, the party would have no option but to consider extending its support to the government.
