Jaipur, Dec 14 (UNI) The ruling BJP state president Mahesh Sharma said Justice Jasraj Chopra Committee constituted by the Rajasthan Government for examining the Gujjar community's demand of ST status, was unlikely to hurt any of the communities.

Talking to newspersons here today Mr Sharma said he did not see possiblity of any clash between communities as the Committee's report was unlikely to hurt interests of any community.

Mr Sharma also reiterated that the government would forward the report of the Committee to the Centre as per the agreement reached between the Gujjar Reservation Action Committee and the state government on June 4.

The Committee is scheduled to submit its report to the state government tomorrow.

Mr Sharma's remarks attain significance in view of the Meena Community's opposition to the Gujjar community's demand of ST status and the Gujjar community's insistence for the forwarding of the report to the Centre along with the state cabinet's recommendation in favour of Gujjar demand.

Mr Sharma also ruled out the possibility of a caste based clash over the issue and said both the Gujjar as well as Meena community leaders had also ruled out such possibility.
